Call for Abstracts

AAMD 52nd Annual Meeting
June 13 - 16, 2027

San Antonio, TX

 

 

Thank you for your interest in presenting at the AAMD 52nd Annual Meeting. We will be accepting abstracts for:

  • General Sessions (60 minutes and 30 minutes):
  • The deadline for General Sessions and Case Studies abstracts is October 29, 2026
  • Participants must submit abstracts online. Emailed submissions will not be accepted.

Our goal is to provide attendees with tips and tricks, case studies, and information they can use in their clinics. These overall topics may help guide your abstract development:

  • Review of clinical anatomy and contouring
  • Practical tips for community-based dosimetrists
  • Safety culture in radiation oncology departments
  • Case studies 
  • IMRT, VMAT, SBRT/SRS treatment planning
  • Deformable image registration and adaptive planning
  • Retreatment
  • General interest – future of medical dosimetry, new technologies, reviews, professional development, leadership

 

Please note these important submission guidelines:
1. All abstracts submitted must be limited to 3000 characters or less and represent original work. 
2. Once submitted, abstracts cannot be edited. To make a change to your abstract, please contact AAMD Headquarters at 703-677-8071 or via email at aamd@medicaldosimetry.org

Professional Presentations - Answering the Call for Abstracts 

Thinking about submitting an abstract for the AAMD 52nd Annual Meeting?
We've developed a 30-minute session to help you! The presentation will discuss picking a topic, creating the abstract and other supplemental materials needed to submit during the abstract process.

Posters Abstracts:
The deadline for posters is April 2027. Details coming in August
      You will submit your final digital poster (PDF format) and a 25-word summary statement.

  • If your poster is accepted:
    • You need to register for the meeting by May 1, 2027.
      • It is required that at least one poster author register for the meeting and present during the two Poster Q&A sessions.
    • Poster presenters will have the opportunity to discuss and answer any questions attendees might have regarding their posters during two designated Q&A times:
      • Sunday, June 13, from 8:00 - 8:30 pm during the welcome reception
      • Tuesday, June 15, during the morning break.
    • You are responsible for the printing, hanging, and removal of your poster
