Student Volunteering
We welcome student volunteers to serve on AAMD Committees!
As a student member of the AAMD, we encourage you to volunteer your time. The AAMD is always in need of student perspectives and volunteer efforts.
For example:
The Education Committee needs student representation for various education related issues. How much should membership cost? How can we get a student forum for networking? Can the students have a social gathering at the annual meeting? What resources can we provide for students to prepare for the board exam?
Do you have a special interest in Public Relations? If so, volunteer to serve on the Public Relations committee. You can help provide means to educate the community about the profession. You might participate in developing brochures, media, or possibly a way to celebrate National Medical Dosimetrists Day!
How about volunteering for the Career Services Center (CSC)? This is a great way to provide feedback on improving the CSC for students who are looking for employment opportunities.
These are only brief examples of how you can volunteer your time. There are numerous AAMD committees.
So, what to do next? Just contact aamd@medicaldosimetry.org and request a committee to volunteer your time.
Don't delay — volunteer today!
