2023 Call for Nominations

The AAMD relies on the dedication of our volunteers to accomplish our mission. Members who answer the call to volunteer help shape the current and future direction of the AAMD. We would like all Full CMD Members to consider running for Board of Directors and Regional Representative positions as they become available.

The 2023 Call for Nominations is now closed.

For the 2023 AAMD Election, the below positions will be on the ballot. Members will receive candidate information and election details this Spring.


  • President-Elect (3-year term) - Prior AAMD Board experience preferred. This is a great leadership opportunity for a dedicated, passionate leader to represent the AAMD in many ways. The position requires excellent communication skills, willingness to serve/volunteer when needed, the ability to delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met, a focus on solutions, strong project and time management skills, visionary leadership, and good listening skills. 
  • Treasurer (3-year term) - The AAMD Treasurer works closely with the AAMD Executive Director to maintain all AAMD financial accounts, attends a weekly Finance Call, helps draft the budget for the fiscal year, presents a financial report during the Annual Meeting and provides guidance to the Board and committees pertaining to financial matters. Strong attention to detail, investment/banking knowledge, and the ability to respond to urgent business matters is preferred.
  • Member-at-Large (3-year term) -  A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, have experience with managing projects within a department or for another non-profit organization, and possess strong Microsoft and organizational skills. Additional capabilities preferred: willingness to find answers, offer ideas and new ways to approach problems, and strong verbal and written communication skills.


  • Region III Representative (3-year term) - Must reside in: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ontario (Canada), all other countries except Canada
  • Region IV Representative (3-year term) - Must reside in: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Brunswick (Canada), Newfoundland (Canada), Nova Scotia (Canada), Prince Edward Island (Canada), Quebec (Canada)
  • Position Description: These leaders participate in the Regional Representative Committee, assist with planning the Spring and Fall Virtual Symposiums and welcome new members within the region.
