Why do you wish to serve on the AAMD Board of Directors? I have been blessed by many opportunities during my career and wish to serve in a capacity that allows me to give back in a manner that utilizes my leadership and management skills within the medical dosimetry community.

Where do you believe the AAMD should focus efforts during the proposed 3-year term? The AAMD should focus on efforts that celebrate our unique expertise, embrace the role of emerging technologies for improving clinical care, enhance the skills needed for our role, and advocate for the continued viability of the medical dosimetrist.

Brian Napolitano

Treasurer

Ryan Moroose, CMD

Why do you wish to serve on the AAMD Board of Directors? If elected to be the AAMD Treasurer, I will be that strong voice for our profession. I have served on the AAMD Annual Conference Committee & as the AAMD Member-at- Large on the Board of Directors. Having the AAMD experience and knowledge will allow me to make sure your hard-earned money is put forth into fortifying our profession.

Where do you believe the AAMD should focus efforts during the proposed 3-year term? I want to be elected to AAMD Treasurer to inspire more CMD's to get involved within the profession. I also would like to focus my efforts on promoting the profession to provide a steady workforce, ensuring all CMD's have adequate training, & ensuring members are seeing the added value in maintaining a membership.

Matthew Thomas, CMD

Why do you wish to serve on the AAMD Board of Directors? Medical dosimetry has opened the door to many incredible opportunities for me and for a while now I've wanted to pay those forward and serve others in our field. Being a Member-at-Large will provide me the avenue to serve my colleagues.

Where do you believe the AAMD should focus efforts during the proposed 3-year term?  I believe there is a vast amount of talent and experience in our field and I’m a firm believer that knowledge is power. In my term I'd like to explore possible ways to bring that experience together and make it more accessible to others throughout the year.

Matthew Thomas

Region IV Representative

Yasmin Ahmed, CMD

Why do you wish to serve the AAMD? I truly enjoy interacting with the multi-disciplinary team at work. I have the privilege to teach students/residents. My knowledge base, communication skills, and passion for the field will enable me to utilize my skills at the regional level.

Where do you believe the AAMD should focus efforts during the proposed 3-year term? Given the education and skills required, dosimetry should be recognized as a licensed profession. I would like to assist AAMD to advocate for licensure, as well as increasing awareness to the public regarding the profession and its responsibilities.

Yasmin Ahmed

Kalpana Vaidya, CMD

Why do you wish to serve the AAMD? I would be honored and willing to give back to the medical dosimetry community. This would be an opportunity for my professional and personal growth. I am always looking for ways to promote and support the medical dosimetry profession and to contribute towards the goals of the AAMD.

Where do you believe the AAMD should focus efforts during the proposed 3-year term?
I believe the AAMD should focus on getting more members, especially students who recently graduated. I would also propose a member incentive program and look into ways to increase member benefits. I will listen to the members in Region IV and help to identify and solve any problems that may arise. I also think the AAMD should develop a value proposition for medical dosimetrists.
